Awards and Distinctions:

  1. Given the " Best Paper" award at the 3rd International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies and Development (ICTD2009) conference held in Doha, Qatar on April 17-19, 2009. The award was given for a paper titled “Results from a Study of Impact of E-government Projects in India” by Prof. Subhash Bhatnagar of IIM Ahmedabad and Ms. Nupur Singh of the Centre for E-Governance, IIM Ahmedabad. The conference organizers arranged a one-on-one meeting with Mr Bill Gates (Chairman, Microsoft Corporation).

  2. Delivered the annual Pinkerton Memorial Lecture on "ICT Use in Rural India: Innovations Bridge the Digital Chasm" organised by the Institution of Electrical Engineers, UK, in London on June 7, 2005.
