Visiting Professor in Business Policy area, IIMA (on lien) and Professor at the School of Management, IIT Bombay. Currently teaches and researches in the area Strategy, Leadership and Marketing. His major areas of interest are Business Strategy, Industry analysis, Leadership & Innovation, Services Marketing and Customer satisfaction.
He has 12 years of experience as an academic and more than 18 years of senior level corporate experience with many textile and apparel organizations in India and abroad; as well as on many consultancy assignments. Presented papers and delivered invited talks at many national and international conferences/ seminars /workshops and also at many institutions in India and abroad.
Has conceptualized a new way of learning about the leadership from the leaders of various walks of life and implemented it successfully. He has been the Project Leader of a world wide study of Internet uses by the business sectors in India and was also leading the Indian team of a collaborative research project between 4 Indian institutes and 5 UK universities to address various issues of Next Generation Global Supply Chain.
He is an elected member of the Management Council of AIMA (All India Management Association) for the year 2009-11.
He is currently the Dean (Alumni & External Relationships) of IIM Ahmedbad.
