Abstract |
| |
The management's attempt to solve the industrial relations issues bilaterally fails. Chargesheets are issued to three union officials and this intensifies the agitation by the union. The matter is then discussed by the local management and the union with the head office, where the management decides to take a firm line with the union. The local union gets advance information of the directive from the head office to local management and plans a strike. The matter then develops legal intricacies. Eventually, a union official is discharged from service. At this stage participants may guess at future events in the organization.

The union and the head office management then make an agreement; the agreement, however, is not acceptable to the discharged union official. Eventually the case is withdrawn from the court. Participants may again guess at the events to come.
