After Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, he worked for two years in the industry before completing his doctorate in Management.

Academic Affiliation

Visiting Professor at academic institutions in the United States, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Cyprus.

He has also taught extensively in national and international executive training programmes.

Currently he is Chairperson PGP at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Professional Affiliation

Has been a consultant to many public and private organizations in manufacturing, banking and financial services sector.

Has prepared policy papers for the Finance Minister, the Governor of Reserve Bank of India and the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

He is on the boards of several large organizations including the Indian Oil Corporation (a fortune 500 company).

He is a member of several committees constituted by government, regulatory bodies and corporate bodies.

Area Of Research

Academic and professional pursuits span several disciplines; specific areas of interest include capital markets and portfolio theory, international finance, operation research and decision sciences, applied statistics and management information and control systems.
